President Bola Tinubu congratulates Mutiu Sunmonu, CON, a corporate titan and respected figure in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, on his 70th birthday today.

Mr. Sunmonu, the former managing director of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Ltd from 2008 to 2015, currently serves as Chairman of Petralon Energy, a pioneering indigenous exploration and production company.

“Your exemplary life of diligence, integrity, and enduring faith in Nigeria demonstrated through your continuous interest in the oil and gas sector has significantly advanced skills development, employment generation, and increased crude oil production,” President Tinubu states.

“You are a shining example and an inspiration to the next generation of Nigerian technocrats and entrepreneurs,” the President adds.

President Tinubu commends Mr. Sunmonu for his service and dedication to the oil and gas sector. He prays for God’s continued blessings on him and wishes him good health, renewed strength, and a sound mind in the years ahead.
