According to the organisers, despite concerted efforts and policy frameworks, malnutrition remains a pervasive issue in Nigeria, even as the nation continues to face significant challenges with malnutrition, notably among children, affecting the nation’s health, economic productivity, and developmental progress.

A failure to address human capital challenges today implies deferring some future economic growth.

In the short term also, there is a prevailing food crisis with its attendant risks on health, malnutrition and well-being. This needs to be tackled headlong. Behavioural interventions are amongst the sharpest arrows in the quiver; highly potent, cost-effective and leveraging an inclusive whole-of-society approaches towards shared prosperity.”
