*To represent President Tinubu at burial of Namibia’s founding President in Windhoek*
The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, will tomorrow, February 28, attend the graduation of the Senior Executive Course 46 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Plateau State.
As Special Guest of Honour, Vice President Shettima will supervise proceedings at the graduation of 96 participants of the institute’s Senior Executive Course (SEC) drawn from the public and private sectors.
The SEC 46 participants led by the DG and top management of the Institution, had on Wednesday February 26, presented the report of its research to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a brief ceremony held at the Presidentila Villa, Abuja. The report is titled “Digital Economy, Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Job Creation in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities.”
The Vice President, upon the completion of his assignment, will depart Kuru, Plateau State for Windhoek, Namibia to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a State funeral for Namibia’s founding President, H.E. Samuel Shafiishuna Daniel Nujoma.
Vice President Shettima will join other leaders across Africa and beyond to pay their last respects to the late president who passed away at the age of 95.
The state funeral for the late Njuoma will begin with a memorial service scheduled for Friday, February 28, at the Independence Stadium and followed by the burial on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Heroes’ Acre.
Vice President Shettima will return to Nigeria at the end of the programme in Namibia.
