President Buhari Meets with Southeast Leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari met with leaders from the Southeast, led by Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, today at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting ended on a high note as the president assured them that major projects in the region which include the 2nd Niger Bridge, East-West Road, and Coastal Rail Project will be completed.

He also informed them that the projects will receive huge capital support from China, thus reminding them of his commitment to serving all parts of the country.

President Buhari Offers His Condolences Over Death of Kaduna Students

The president has expressed sadness over the loss of life of students of Victory College, Kaduna who drowned in River Kaduna from a boat accident during an excursion.

While showing his deepest sympathies to the parents of the deceased, the school authorities and the Kaduna state government, he prayed for God’s comfort over them to enable them overcome the tragic incident.

The statement reads, “President Muhammadu Buhari is deeply saddened by the news of the tragic death of some students of Victory College, Ungwan Yelwa, Kaduna, who drowned in River Kaduna while on an excursion.

“President Buhari’s thoughts and prayers are with the distraught families of the deceased and the management of the College, and he expresses heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Kaduna State, during this difficult time.

“The President prays that God will comfort families and friends affected by the profound loss of these young minds, and he wishes speedy recovery to other staff and students, who are in shock over the unfortunate incident.”
