VP Osinbajo Opens High-level Trade and Investment Forum

The Vice President, today, launched a high-level Policy and Private Sector Trade and Investment Facilitation Partnership Forum in Abuja.

The forum which is slated for both today and tomorrow, November 3, 2017, was attended by the Director General, World Trade Organization (WTO), Secretary General, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), officials of the AU and ECOWAS, and various national and foreign ministers.

The forum was focused on setbacks of developing economies regarding investments and measures for enhancing the country’s economic growth and recovery.

The President has sent an official letter to the National Assembly requesting the presentation of the 2018 budget proposal on November 7, 2018.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has read the letter and has adjourned plenary to November 7, 2017.
