Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Nigerian lawyer and politician, currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria in the Office of the Vice President. He assumed office on June 2, 2023.

Prior to this role, he served as the Senator representing Jigawa North-East from 2019 to 2023. He was also Deputy Governor of Jigawa State from 2002 to 2007 and from 2015 to 2019.

Ibrahim Hadejia attended Sacred Heart Primary School in Kaduna, Barewa College Zaria, as well as Ahmadu Bello University where he studied law, and the Nigerian Law School in Lagos. He holds a Diploma in Computing from the Department of Continuing Education at Oxford University, United Kingdom, in 2005.

Before his foray into politics, he worked as Marketing and Dealer Relationship Manager at Nigerian Telephones and Transmission in Lagos and as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser at Credit and Finance Ltd. He was also Head of Credit Administration and Head of Foreign Operations at Liberty Merchant Bank plc among others.

In 1999, Ibrahim Hadejia became the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Jigawa State; served as the Secretary to the State Government and eventually rose to the position of Deputy Governor in 2002. During this period, he played a significant role in securing the inclusion of Jigawa State as one of the 6 DFID focal states, leading to the establishment of various DFID-supported programs.

As a Senator, he brought numerous developmental projects to Jigawa North East Senatorial Zone, including the establishment of educational centers, ICT centers, town halls, sports complexes, and infrastructure projects. He also served as the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts and Environment.

Ibrahim Hadejia is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitration in the United Kingdom.

His hobbies include reading, web research, data mining and squash. He is happily married and has children.
