PRESIDENT TINUBU CELEBRATES ABAGUN KOLE OMOLOLU, AFENIFERE CHIEFTAIN, AT 70

President Bola Tinubu has sent a heartfelt message of congratulations to Abagun Kole Omololu, a prominent chieftain of the Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on his 70th birthday on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The President highlights Abagun Omololu’s enduring character, particularly his integrity, loyalty, and commitment to nation-building and the preservation of Yoruba heritage.

President Tinubu notes that Abagun Omololu has been at the forefront of the struggle for the advancement of democracy and good governance in the land for decades, as well as the promotion of unity and solidarity in Yorubaland.

“He was part of NADECO Abroad, which took the battle for the sanctity of June 12 and termination of military rule in Nigeria to the international community. Also, to date, Abagun remains a prominent member of Idile Odua.

“As a leader in Afenifere, his principled position on issues and steadfast support for Baba Fasoranti’s leadership are particularly noteworthy,” President Tinubu remarks.

Abagun Omololu’s staunch support for President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope administration is also well known.

President Tinubu prays for long life and God’s abiding grace and wisdom for Abagun Olumolu, as Omololu clocks the Biblical age of three scores and ten.
