President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on his 60th birthday.

The President described the monarch as a distinguished traditional ruler whose life reflects service to the nation and his people through years of diligent work in the private sector, diplomacy and community leadership.

The President praised the Emir’s record of public service, rising through the ranks of the diplomatic service, culminating in his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, from 2017 to September 2020. The Emir had also served as Commissioner at the Kaduna State Electoral Commission.

“His Highness embodies the finest traditions of leadership and scholarship. His 26 years as a seasoned banker, his tenure as a pioneer staff member of FSDH Lagos, and his service as Executive Director and Acting Managing Director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc, reflect a commitment to excellence,” President Tinubu said.

“Since ascending the exalted throne of Zazzau on October 7, 2020, as the 19th Emir since 1804, President Tinubu said the monarch has continued to promote peace, unity and development in his domain.

“As His Highness marks this milestone, I pray for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom and many more years of impactful reign in good health,” the President added.
