PRESIDENT TINUBU GREETS ADEBOYE ADEYINKA, GRASSROOTS SPORTS PROMOTER, ON 60TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Tinubu congratulates Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, sports administrator and renowned promoter of grassroots football, on his 60th birthday on March 11, 2026.

The President highlights Adeyinka’s contributions to youth and sports development in the country and to the maintenance of security in Lagos through the instrumentality of Team Lagos.

President Tinubu says through Adeyinka’s efforts, many young people have found fulfilment in life and a pathway to success.

Adeyinka, fondly called Zulu, is the Director-General of Team Lagos, established 27 years ago, which has collaborated with the Lagos State Government to promote peace and security in the state.

Zulu previously served as Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Football Matters from 2013 to 2015 and later as Senior Special Assistant on Sports, during which he coordinated sports development initiatives and grassroots sporting activities across the state.

Adeyinka is at present the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development in the Presidency. He is also the Chairman of Smart City Football Club.

President Tinubu wishes him many more years, good health, and continued impact in Lagos State and Nigeria.
