President Buhari Receives Gambian President
The President met with the Gambian President, H.E. Adama Barrow at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
After the meeting, the Gambian President offered his appreciation to President Buhari for Nigeria’s support during Gambia’s political transition.
The President, in his response, said that Nigeria remains committed to enhancing its support and economic cooperation with Gambia.

VP Osinbajo Gives Inaugural Lecture at Harvard Business School
The Vice President delivered a keynote lecture during the inauguration of the new course program at Harvard Business School, titled “Africa Rising”
At the lecture, he spoke on the achievements of the country with regards its business and economic environments as well as tremendous efforts of the administration in recovering the economy from recession.
Harvard, in turn, had commended the country’s progress in the global business climate including the efforts of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) which had caused Nigeria to rise 24 places on the World Ease of Doing Business Rankings.

President Buhari Attends 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day
The President attended the 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration at the National Arcade in Abuja
The event is set to mark the fallen heroes who risked their lives to restore and maintain peace in various parts of the country and beyond.
At the event, the President honored these fallen heroes by laying the wreath to mark the end of the celebration later today.
He also commended their selfless acts of bravery, courage and gallantry on the battlefield and noted that their efforts will always be remembered.
President Buhari Meets With Benue State Government Officials
The President, later today, met with various past and present government officials and traditional elders of Benue state at the State House in Abuja.
The Benue delegation was led by the Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom and had NSA DG, DSS, Minister of Defence, Minister of Interior and members of the House of Assembly in attendance.
The meeting was set up to address the rising security issues in Benue state with regards herdsmen, farmers and civilians in the state.
This meeting is in response to prior attacks in Benue state by Fulani herdsmen which led to major loss of lives and properties in the state.

President Buhari’s Son Gets Discharged from the Hospital
Yusuf Buhari, who suffered some injuries from a motorbike accident, has been discharged today from Cedacrest Hospital in Abuja.

President Buhari Presided Over FEC Meeting
The President presided over the first Federal Executive Council meeting of the year at the Council Chambers in Abuja.
At the meeting, the president approved a contract set for rehabilitating the outstanding 36km Enugu section of 9th Mile-Oturkpo road which connects Enugu to Benue state.
The contract is worth N5.44 billion and the project is to be completed within a 24-month period.
FEC also approved the deployment of a power plant to the new Abuja Airport terminal on a PPP basis.

President Buhari Responds to Benue State Attacks
Following the recent killings in Benue State, the President has ordered the Inspector General of Police and Nigerian Police Force to intervene and restore peace and stability in the affected LGAs of the state.
He met with the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom at the Presidential Villa today and assured him of his commitment to securing the lives and properties in Benue state.
President Buhari Receives Rwandan Envoy
The President met with an envoy from Rwanda and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo, today at the State House in Abuja.
VP Osinbajo Presides Over Summit in Oshogbo
The Vice President oversaw a youth summit in Oshogbo today in which he stated the importance of hard work, integrity and good character for making progress.
Further Update on Nigerian Returnees from Libya
The Foreign Affairs minister, Geoffrey Onyeama stated that the President has taken necessary measure to return and rehabilitate about 500 returnees from Libya.
The rehabilitation program is to last for 3-6 months in which the returnees will learn various skills and be under close monitoring for 2 years.

National Hajj Commission in Saudi Arabia
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) met with Saudi Arabia United Agents in preparation for 2018 Hajj.
They both signed an agreement on the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, during the Hajj.

President Buhari Visits Kaduna Dry Inland Port
The President, today, commissioned new coaches and locomotive sets at the Rigasa Train Station in Kaduna.
He then commissioned the Kaduna Dry Inland Port in the company of the Kaduna governor, Bello El-rufai.
FG Moves To Evacuate Nigerians Stranded in Libya
The Federal Government have sent a delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, to Libya.
The delegation will begin necessary procedures aimed at evacuating Nigerians stranded in the country.
The evacuation itself is to take place tomorrow and will be carried out using two aircrafts.
About 5,037 Nigerians are expected to be returned safely to Nigeria from Libya.

President Buhari Responds To Killings and Attacks in the Country
The President has expressed his shock and displeasure at the killing of individuals in Omoku, Rivers State, the killing of the Etum Numana, Dr. Gambo Makama, and his wife in Kaduna state and the attacks in Benue state.
The President has ordered all security agencies concerned to seek out the culprits and ensure they face justice. He also sympathises with the attack victims and their families.

President Buhari Meet with Izantul Bid’a Wa Islamic Delegation
The President, today, received in audience the Izalatul-Bid’a-Wa-Iqamatus-Sunnah Islamic group led by their leader, Sheikh Bala Lau at the State House in Abuja.
Other members of the delegation were Sheikh Yakubu Musa Hassan, Dr Ibrahim Jalo and Sheikh Muhammad Kabir Haruna Gombe.
President Buhari Meets With Qadiriyya Movement
The President met with a delegation from the Qadiriyya Islamic Movement in Africa, led by Sheikh Quribullah Nasiru Kabara at the State House in Abuja.
He was presented a gift by the leader of the movement with other delegates being present, notably Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Fatih, Professor Hassan Abbas Hassan, Muhammed Abu Kasawi, Mumin Awadir Karim and others.
