PRESIDENT TINUBU REJOICES WITH ABEGUNDE ‘ABENA’ ON HIS BIRTHDAY

President Bola Tinubu sends heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde ‘Abena’, his longtime political associate and system engineer, on his birthday on January 9.

Abegunde began his professional career with a degree in Civil Engineering, then moved into architectural studies, and finally delved into public service by being elected to the House of Representatives. He represented Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency of Ondo State for two terms.

He was also formerly Secretary to the Ondo State Government. He is currently the Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

President Tinubu highlights Hon. Abegunde’s commitment to professionalism and public service as well as his tremendous grassroots appeal.

The President notes that the NDDC Executive Director has experienced both triumphs and travails in politics for his loyalty to leadership and his insistence on the public good.

As a professional, Abegunde’s service extended beyond Nigeria’s borders to the United States of America, where he served as a Systems Engineer for both the State of Maryland and the US Patent and Trademark Office.

President Tinubu remarks: “In politics, Abegunde’s dedication to public service and good governance has always been evident. As an associate, he remained loyal, consistent and steadfast at all times.

“I wish the NDDC Executive Director long life and more years of purposeful service to the nation”.
